Basketball Recap: Trimble Takes a Loss

Trimble lost against Nelsonville-York back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Trimble Tomcats received a blow as they fell 59-41 to the Nelsonville-York Buckeyes.

Briant Call was his usual excellent self, going 9 for 14 en route to 21 points and seven rebounds for Nelsonville-York. That's the most points Call has posted since back in January of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Cameron Sullivan, who posted nine points in addition to six boards and five assists.

Trimble's defeat dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Nelsonville-York, their win bumped their record up to 8-4.

Trimble has already played their next matchup (against Miller), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Nelsonville-York will take on Athens at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Nelsonville-York is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56.6 points per game this season.
