Soccer Game Preview: Ridge Spring-Monetta vs. Pelion

The Ridge Spring-Monetta Trojans are taking a road trip to take on the Pelion Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Ridge Spring-Monetta is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to seven goals on Thursday, they were much more limited against Fox Creek on Tuesday. They came up short against the Predators, falling 3-0. Ridge Spring-Monetta have struggled against Fox Creek recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Panthers on Tuesday. Pelion fell just short of Batesburg-Leesville by a score of 5-4.

Pelion now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Ridge Spring-Monetta, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-4.

Ridge Spring-Monetta couldn't quite get it done against Pelion in their previous matchup back in March of 2025 as they fell 3-1. Can the Trojans avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
