Basketball Recap: Hudson Find Success

Hudson won the last time they faced Roosevelt and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Hudson Explorers strolled past the Roosevelt Rough Riders with points to spare, taking the game 55-39.

When it comes to explaining why Roosevelt lost, don't look at Gavin Peeps. Despite the final result, he went 5 of 7 on his way to 14 points along with seven boards and three steals. The dominant performance gave Peeps a new career-high in steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Carter Foreman, who posted four points and six rebounds.

Hudson's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Roosevelt, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Hudson will square off against Nordonia at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Nordonia has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 204 points over their last three contests. As for Roosevelt, they will challenge Aurora at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
