After flying high against St. Martin last Thursday, Ocean Springs came back down to earth. Ocean Springs fell just short of St. Martin by a score of 4-3 on Friday. The Greyhounds' defeat signaled the end of their eight-game winning streak.

Adam Clower made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. That home run marked the first that he launched this season.

Ocean Springs' loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 14-4-1. As for St. Martin, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 10-8 record.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ocean Springs will face off against Harrison Central at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for St. Martin, they will square off against Gulfport at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Gulfport will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.
