Baseball Recap: Longview Takes a Loss

Longview was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pleasant Grove Hawks. If the Lobos were looking for revenge after losing 12-0 to the Hawks when the teams met back in March of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Longview's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Pleasant Grove, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-2 record this season.

Coincidentally, Longview and Pleasant Grove will both be playing Lindale the next time they take the field. The Hawks will head out to face the Eagles at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Lobos will head out to face them at 5:15 p.m. on Saturday.
