Baseball Recap: Eagle River Comes Up Short in High-Profile Game with South Anchorage

Eagle River faced South Anchorage in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Wolves lost 7-1 to the Wolverines. The contest marked the Wolves' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Eagle River saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ryan Mullen, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

This is the second loss in a row for Eagle River and nudges their season record down to 4-2-1. As for South Anchorage, their win was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-0.
