Baseball Recap: Waldron Comes Up Short

South Decatur hit Waldron with a eight-run sixth inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Mohawks lost 9-2 to the Cougars. The Mohawks were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Cougars earlier this season, when they won 4-0.

Waldron saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hunter Dodson, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Waldron dropped their record down to 5-8 with the loss, which was their fifth straight at home. As for South Decatur, their win bumped their record up to 4-6.
