Basketball Recap: Harrisonburg Comes Up Short

Harrisonburg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 65-60 heartbreaker at the hands of the East Rockingham Eagles. The Blue Streaks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January.

Harrisonburg's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for East Rockingham, their victory bumped their record up to 5-1.

Harrisonburg and Rocktown will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for East Rockingham, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Page County at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Page County has insisted on making their lastthree contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 2-1 during that stretch of close contests.
