Soccer Recap: Clarksburg Comes Up Short

If Clarksburg was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Hollow Rock-Bruceton Central last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Clarksburg fell just short of the Adamsville Cardinals by a score of 2-1 on Friday. Colt Robison was hit with a yellow card, which may have had some impact on his (and the team's) ability to make aggressive plays.

Clarksburg's goal came courtesy of Connor Allen, who's now up to two this season.

Clarksburg's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Adamsville, they moved to 2-3 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Coming up, Clarksburg will head out to square off against McKenzie at 5:00 p.m. on the 31st. McKenzie's last three matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Adamsville, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Riverside at 5:30 p.m. on April 1.
