Basketball Recap: Spooner Comes Up Short

Spooner was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 95-83 to the Barron Golden Bears. While losing is never fun, the Rails can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 408th, while the Golden Bears are ranked 189th).

Spooner's defeat dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Barron, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a massive bump to their 10-5 record this season.

Spooner has already played their next game, a 110-75 loss against Somerset on the 3rd. As for Barron, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 70-51 defeat against Cumberland on the 4th.
