Softball Recap: Boca Ciega Comes Up Short

After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three contests, Boca Ciega finally came back down to earth on Monday. They came up short against the East Lake Eagles, falling 15-0. The shutout was out of character for the Pirates seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in February.

The loss snapped Boca Ciega's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 7-3 record. As for East Lake, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Boca Ciega will head out to challenge Admiral Farragut at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for East Lake, they will challenge Clearwater at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
