Baseball Game Preview: Holliston Panthers vs. St. Mary's Spartans

The Holliston Panthers will challenge the St. Mary's Spartans at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. Holliston will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.

Holliston came out on top against Dedham on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run third inning. The Panthers skirted past the Marauders 8-7.

Ty Bosselman and Ben Maiorano did most of the damage at the plate: Bosselman went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI, while Maiorano went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one triple, and one run. Those two runs gave Bosselman a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Arav Prajapati, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for St. Mary's, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-4 victory over Cardinal Spellman on Thursday.

St. Mary's pushed their record up to 13-2 with the win, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.9 runs on average over those games. As for Holliston, their win bumped their record up to 13-6.
