Basketball Recap: Catholic Central Comes Up Short

Catholic Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 50-20 loss at the hands of the Greeneview Rams. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Irish this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 57-25 last Saturday.

Despite the loss, Catholic Central saw an underclassman step up: freshman Maggie Louden posted five points in addition to six boards and four steals.

Catholic Central's defeat dropped their record down to 2-19. As for Greeneview, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-11.

Coming up, Catholic Central will face off against Franklin Monroe at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Catholic Central is facing Franklin Monroe at the right time seeing as Franklin Monroe is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Greeneview, they will head out to take on Fayetteville-Perry at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
