After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Jay, West Florida Baptist Academy was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They put the hurt on the Escambia Gators with a sharp 3-0 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-1 last Monday.

The match was exciting from start to finish, as two sets needed extra rallies to gain a two-point lead. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 27-25, 27-25, 25-18.

When it comes to explaining why Escambia lost, don't look at Abigail Dickin. Despite the final result, she had 19 digs. With that strong performance, Dickin is now averaging an impressive 10.3 digs per game.

West Florida Baptist Academy's record now sits at 22-2. As for Escambia, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-11.

West Florida Baptist Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Gulf Pointe Latin on the 25th. As for Escambia, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Central on the 23rd.
