Baseball Recap: Covenant School of Jacksonville Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Englewood, Covenant School of Jacksonville was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They walked away with a 5-2 victory over the Wolfson Wolfpack.

Randy Parker made a splash no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over five innings pitched. He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Covenant School of Jacksonville is undefeated when he allows at most one walk, but 9-10 otherwise. Parker was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.

Parker wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Ryne Fennell, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Covenant School of Jacksonville is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-10 record this season. As for Wolfson, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-13.

Looking ahead, Covenant School of Jacksonville will face off against Atlantic Coast at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Wolfson, they will challenge St. Augustine at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
