Soccer Recap: Serena Comes Up Short

Serena managed to keep up with Indian Creek until halftime on Thursday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Huskers came up short against the Timberwolves, falling 4-0. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against Indian Creek this season, with their most recent defeat being a 6-1 loss back in September.

Serena has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 13 of their last 16 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-14-3 record this season. As for Indian Creek, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season.

Serena and Indian Creek are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. The Huskers will take on Earlville at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Indian Creek, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Schaumburg Christian at 7:00 p.m. on the 22nd.
