Mabel-Canton came into Monday's matchup looking for another win against Houston, but Morgan Rohweder wouldn't allow it. The Houston Hurricanes blew past the Mabel-Canton Cougars 64-30 on Monday thanks to Rohweder, who dropped a double-double with 17 points and 11 boards. He has been hot for a while, having posted 17 or more points the last 12 times he's played.

Maddox Rodriguez was another key player, going 8-for-12 en route to 16 points. That's the most points he has posted since back in February of 2024.

Houston has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.4 points over those games. As for Mabel-Canton, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last eight games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 9-16 record this season.

Looking ahead, Houston will host Grand Meadow at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Mabel-Canton, they will head out to challenge Lanesboro at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Mabel-Canton is facing Lanesboro at the right time seeing as Lanesboro is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
