Softball Recap: West Point Comes Up Short

West Point managed to slip by Lawrence County the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The West Point Warriors came up short against the Lawrence County Red Devils on Tuesday, falling 16-2. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, the Warriors couldn't push the score so high this time.

West Point saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brayley Phillips, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double.

West Point's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Lawrence County, they pushed their record up to 17-6 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Lawrence County beat West Point by a score of 16-2 later that day.
