Softball Recap: Appleton East Comes Up Short

Appleton East lost against Neenah back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Patriots took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rockets.

Appleton East dropped their record down to 2-6 with the defeat, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Neenah, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-2.

Appleton East wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, an 11-1 loss against Kaukauna on the 29th. As for Neenah, they are taking a road trip to face off against Fond du Lac at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Rockets' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Cardinals have averaged an impressive 8.6 runs per game this season.
