Basketball Recap: Westwood Triumphs

Westwood posted their closest win since January 3rd on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Ashland Clockers 49-46. Given the Wolverines' advantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts basketball rankings (they are ranked 12th, while the Clockers are ranked 124th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Westwood's win bumped their record up to 9-5. As for Ashland, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-11.

Westwood will face off against Holliston at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Ashland, they will square off against Auburn at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Auburn will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Ashland surely won't give up without a fight.
