Soccer Game Preview: Lamar vs. Canon City + How To Watch

The Lamar Thunder will head out on the road to square off against the Canon City Tigers at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Lamar will be strutting in after a win while Canon City will be coming in after a defeat.

Lamar was handed a six-goal loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Monday. They beat Pueblo Central by a goal, winning 4-3. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for Lamar considering their one-goal performance the contest before.

Meanwhile, Canon City didn't have quite enough to beat Pueblo County on Tuesday and fell 3-2. That's two games in a row now that Canon City have lost by just one goal.

Lamar's victory bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Canon City, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6.

Lamar couldn't quite get it done against Canon City in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 as they fell 3-1. Can the Thunder avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
