Softball Recap: Lynbrook Drops Season-High Score on Monta Vista

Lynbrook made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Monta Vista, but they still couldn't quite topple them. Lynbrook put the hurt on Monta Vista with a sharp 21-11 victory on Wednesday. The Vikings' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Lynbrook got a massive performance out of Audrey Lee, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. Those five RBI gave Lee a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Arial Bowers, who scored four runs and stole six bases while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances.

Lynbrook was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .474. They are 2-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Lynbrook's win bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Monta Vista, they dropped their record down to 0-2 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.
