Basketball Recap: Academy for Technology and the Classics Starts Season with Win Against Hot Springs + How To Watch

Academy for Technology and The Classics took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Saturday. They blew past the Hot Springs Tigers, posting a 62-35 victory.

Academy for Technology and The Classics got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Harmony Roybal out in front who shot 64% from the field to rack up 16 points and four steals. Another player making a difference was Arianna Gallegos, who almost dropped a double-double with 12 points and nine rebounds.

Hot Springs' defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Academy for Technology and The Classics is packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will challenge Monte Del Sol Charter at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hot Springs, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Santa Teresa at 6:30 p.m. on the 9th.
