Volleyball Game Preview: Columbus East Olympians vs. Franklin Central Flashes

Columbus East is 0-4 against Franklin Central since April of 2021 but things could change on Thursday. The Olympians will welcome the Flashes at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Wednesday, Columbus East beat Martinsville 3-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Olympians.

The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 22-25, 25-22, 26-24.

Meanwhile, Franklin Central got the win against New Palestine on Tuesday by a conclusive 3-0. The Flashes haven't had any issues with the Dragons recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

One reason for the win was Franklin Central's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-19, 25-18.

Columbus East's win bumped their record up to 6-7. As for Franklin Central, they pushed their record up to 5-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.
