Basketball Game Preview: Lebanon Trail Trail Blazers vs. Heritage Coyotes

Lebanon Trail hasn't had much luck against Heritage recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Lebanon Trail Trail Blazers will be playing at home against the Heritage Coyotes at 7:15 p.m.

Lebanon Trail is headed into Friday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 11th straight game on Tuesday. They came up short against Centennial, falling 61-41. While losing is never fun, the Trail Blazers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 674th, while the Titans are ranked 301st).

Meanwhile, Heritage entered their tilt with Frisco on Tuesday with seven consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with eight. They claimed a resounding 74-47 victory over the Raccoons. The Coyotes have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten matches by 20 points or more this season.

Lebanon Trail better keep an eye on Cameron Lomax. He was instrumental in Heritage's win, going 8 for 12 on his way to 21 points along with eight rebounds and five steals. Lomax's evening made it ten games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Bryson Howard, who went 7 of 12 en route to 15 points in addition to seven boards and six assists.

Lebanon Trail's loss dropped their record down to 9-18. As for Heritage, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 24-4 record this season.

Lebanon Trail was dealt a bruising 83-30 defeat at the hands of Heritage in their previous matchup on January 7th. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Lebanon Trail was down 49-13.
