Baseball Recap: Washington Union Takes a Loss

Washington Union entered their game against Kingsburg on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. Washington Union took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of Kingsburg. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Panthers of the 8-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Washington Union saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cole Roth, who scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Dailon Finderup also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

This is the second loss in a row for Washington Union and nudges their season record down to 9-2. As for Kingsburg, their win bumped their record up to 6-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Washington Union will square off against El Diamante at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Kingsburg, they will challenge Atascadero at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
