Basketball Recap: Bethune-Bowman Piles Up the Points Against Johnsonville

It's playoff time, and Bethune-Bowman had no trouble coming through when it counted. They claimed a resounding 75-44 win over the Johnsonville Flashes. The Mohawks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 matchups by 22 points or more this season.

Bethune-Bowman's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Bryson Robinson led the charge by putting up 22 points. Terreance McFadden was another key player, scoring 18 points.

Several Flashes players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Taysawn Brown, who went 5-for-7 en route to 10 points and five rebounds. Thanks to that strong game, Brown now owns an excellent 45.5% shooting accuracy. The team also got some help courtesy of Zaghe Davis, who posted nine points and five assists.

Bethune-Bowman has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 14 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.3 points over those games. This is the second loss in a row for Johnsonville and nudges their season record down to 5-13.

Bethune-Bowman didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, an 82-61 victory against Military Magnet Academy on the 19th. Johnsonville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
