Volleyball Recap: Brookside Takes a Loss

Brookside dropped to 4-6 on Thursday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins on the road. They fell just short of the Black River Pirates by a score of 3-2. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Cardinals of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

As for Black River, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win they have posted since September 9, 2024.

Among those leading the charge was Kate Dieter, who had eight digs and two aces. What's more, she posted two assists, the most she's had over her last seven games.

Coming up, Brookside will square off against Cloverleaf at 11:15 a.m. on Saturday. As for Black River, they will challenge New London at 6:45 p.m. on Monday.
