Softball Recap: Wagner Comes Up Short

Wagner was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat. They lost 26-0 to the Veterans Memorial Patriots. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Patriots this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 18-0 back in March.

Wagner's loss dropped their record down to 4-17. As for Veterans Memorial, they pushed their record up to 17-2 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Wagner will challenge Smithson Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Rangers will roll in looking for their 14th straight victory, something the Thunderbirds surely won't give up without a fight. As for Veterans Memorial, they will square off against Tivy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Patriots' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Antlers have averaged an impressive 6.2 runs per game this season.
