Basketball Recap: Jaydin Vega Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Hudson

There's no place like home for Anclote, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 60-58 victory over the Hudson Cobras on Monday. The Sharks haven't had any issues with the Cobras recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Anclote to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jaydin Vega, who posted 21 points. Cam Surface was another key player, putting up 14 points.

Anclote's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Hudson, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Coming up, Anclote will head out on the road to take on Brooks DeBartolo Collegiate at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Sharks will be up against the Phoenix's rather soft defense (which has allowed 59 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Hudson, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Gulf at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cobras will need to watch out since the Buccaneers have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
