It was a good run, but Thornton unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-match winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Kankakee Kays by a score of 3-2. If Thornton were looking for revenge after losing 6-3 to Kankakee when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Thornton's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 5-6-1. As for Kankakee, they now have a winning record of 7-6.

Thornton didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 4-1 win against Bloom on the 25th. As for Kankakee, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next contest, a 1-0 victory against Chicago Washington on the 26th.
