Mayerck came up big in Alden-Hebron's 27-12 victory
Winning always takes teamwork, but on Thursday Maddy Mayerck stepped things up a notch to give Alden-Hebron the 'W'. Mayerck was dialed in and scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in six of her seven plate appearances. She played a big game the last time she faced Christian Liberty, so the team probably should've seen her coming.
Mayerck and Alden-Hebron will head out on the road to square off against South Beloit at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Alden-Hebron has some work to do to even out the 2-8 series between these two since May of 2018, but a win here would be a good start.
