Softball Recap: Philomath Takes a Loss

Philomath might've scored the first runs on Monday, but it was Willamina who claimed the real prize. Philomath fell just short of Willamina by a score of 5-4.

Kaylie Kohler was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. Libby Kramer was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

Philomath now has a losing record of 1-2.

Looking ahead, Philomath will be playing at home against Amity at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday. As for Willamina, they will be taking part in a tournament against Douglas at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday.
