Mendon had won seven straight games and Owen Gorham did his part to make it eight on Friday. Everything went the Hornets' way against the Climax-Scotts Panthers as they made off with a 46-20 victory with plenty of help from Gorham, who rushed for 242 yards and four TDs while picking up 10.5 yards per carry. His rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his seventh straight game with at least 102 rushing yards.

Mendon's win bumped their record up to 8-0. As for Climax-Scotts, their defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 6-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Mendon will challenge Lenawee Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Hornets will need to watch out since the Cougars have now posted at least 31 points in their last three matchups. As for Climax-Scotts, they will face off against Pittsford at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers will need to watch out since the Wildcats have now posted at least 31 points in their last seven games.
