Football Game Preview: Zion-Benton Zee-Bees vs. Lake Zurich Bears

Zion-Benton is 0-9 against Lake Zurich since September of 2015 but things could change on Friday. The Zee-Bees will host the Bears at 7:00 p.m. Zion-Benton has given up an average of 26 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Zion-Benton managed to keep up with Warren Township until halftime on Friday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Zee-Bees lost 42-22 to the Blue Devils. While losing is never fun, the Zee-Bees can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois football rankings (they are ranked 221st, while the Blue Devils are ranked 27th).

Meanwhile, Lake Zurich had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 33 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They blew past the Scouts 28-7. Considering the Bears have won three games by more than 20 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Zion-Benton better keep an eye on Christopher Chang. He was instrumental in Lake Zurich's win, picking up 91 receiving yards and one touchdown, while also punching in one score on the ground.

Lake Zurich's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Zion-Benton, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2.
