Basketball Recap: Edgewood Falls Short of Orange in the Playoffs

Edgewood and Orange squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Edgewood had to settle for second. They took a 54-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Orange Lions. The Warriors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lions apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2022.

Alex McCulloch was his usual excellent self, going 7-for-14 on his way to 21 points in addition to five boards and three steals for Orange. McCulloch's evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Dillon Mathur, who posted nine points and six rebounds.

Edgewood's loss dropped their record down to 7-15. As for Orange, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-12.

As of now, neither Edgewood nor Orange have any future games scheduled.
