The Edmund Burke Academy Spartans will look to defend their home field on Friday against the Gatewood Gators at 5:00 p.m. Edmund Burke Academy will be looking to keep their nine-game home win streak (dating back to last season) alive.
Edmund Burke Academy had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They took their contest at home on Friday with ease, bagging a 35-6 victory over Southwest Georgia Academy. Edmund Burke Academy might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won eight contests by 21 points or more this season.
Mobley continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 112 yards and three touchdowns, while also throwing for 90 yards and a touchdown while completing 77.8% of his passes.
Gatewood aren't just finding sucess at home, as their game on Friday extended their overall winning streak to four. They skirted past Briarwood Academy 15-12.
Edmund Burke Academy's win bumped their record up to 11-1. As for Gatewood, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-2 record this season.
Edmund Burke Academy didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Gatewood when the teams last played back in October, but they still walked away with a 20-14 win.
