Softball Recap: Vardaman Rams vs. Winona Tigers
Vardaman's game last Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They skirted past the Winona Tigers 15-13. The high-scoring effort was just what the Rams needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.
Addi Lucius made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over 5.2 innings while giving up just two earned (and five unearned) runs off two hits. Lucius was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing Two bases. while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in stolen bases.
