Basketball Recap: Bolton Takes a Loss

Bolton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were dealt a 78-22 loss at the hands of the Fayette Ware Wildcats. The matchup marked Bolton's lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Bolton's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Rickevia Sherfield, who posted eight points, and I'Mari Pointer, who put up seven points.

It was another big night for Morgan Crutcher, who had 37 points in addition to five rebounds and five steals for Fayette Ware. The game was Crutcher's third in a row with at least ten points. Ke'Miyah Buggs was another key player, putting up 18 points and five steals.

Bolton's loss dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Fayette Ware, they now have a winning record of 9-8.

Bolton wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 58-49 win against Bolivar Central on the 24th. As for Fayette Ware, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 52-31 victory against Haywood on the 24th.
