Basketball Recap: Kayden Chandler's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Manor over Belton

Manor was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting the Belton Tigers an easy 75-49 victory. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 944th, while the Tigers are ranked 70th).

Manor lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Kayden Chandler, who posted 13 points. Austin Androh was another key player, putting up four points and six rebounds.

Manor's defeat dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Belton, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Manor and Round Rock will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
