Recap: BridgePrep Village Green Bulldogs vs. Pinecrest Glades Academy Dragons
The BridgePrep Village Green Bulldogs entered their tilt with the Pinecrest Glades Academy Dragons with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. BridgePrep Village Green enjoyed a cozy 66-50 victory over Pinecrest Glades Academy on Wednesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as BridgePrep Village Green also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2022.
Despite the defeat, Pinecrest Glades Academy saw an underclassman step up: Ronnie Rivero scored 16 points along with two steals. Rivero is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Brandon Diaz, who scored six points along with six assists and three steals.
BridgePrep Village Green pushed their record up to 7-3 with that victory, which was their seventh straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 79.0 points per game. As for Pinecrest Glades Academy, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-3.
BridgePrep Village Green's homestand continues as they prepare to take on International Studies at 7:00 p.m. on January 26th. Pinecrest Glades Academy will be staying on the road on Wednesday to face off against Downtown Doral at 3:30 p.m. on January 24th. Downtown Doral is coming into the matchup on a six-game losing streak.
