Basketball Recap: Sealy Comes Up Short

Sealy has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They fell 44-34 to the Fort Bend Willowridge Eagles on Thursday. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 541st, while the Eagles are ranked 230th).

Sealy's defeat dropped their record down to 17-6. As for Fort Bend Willowridge, their win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-8.

Sealy won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Royal at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Fort Bend Willowridge, they also won't have to wait long for more action: they'll face off against Almeta Crawford at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Almeta Crawford will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Fort Bend Willowridge surely won't give up without a fight.
