Adams City has gone 8-2 against Gateway recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Adams City Eagles are taking a road trip to face off against the Gateway Olympians at 6:00 p.m. Neither Adams City nor Gateway posted many points in their last games, so it might be the defenses that decide this one.

Last Tuesday, Adams City ended up a good deal behind Aurora Central and lost 37-21.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Erika Contreras-Gomez, who posted two points and ten boards. Another player making a difference was Evelyn Reyes, who had two points in addition to 11 rebounds, five blocks, and three steals.

Even though they lost, Adams City smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 21 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've posted since back in February of 2024.

Meanwhile, Gateway played a tough contest on Thursday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by Skyview 62-13. The loss continues a trend for the Olympians in their matchups with the Wolverines: they've now lost five in a row.

Gateway's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Adams City, their loss dropped their record down to 3-12.

Adams City might still be hurting after the 44-22 defeat they got from Gateway when the teams last played back in December of 2024. Can Adams City avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
