Boulder City is 0-3 against The Meadows School since April of 2024 but things could change on Friday. The Eagles will take on the Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
On Thursday, Boulder City got the win against Sunrise Mountain by a conclusive 9-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eagles.

Tate Crine was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out 13 over seven innings pitched. Those 13 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.
In other batting news, Gauge Andrews was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March. Colten Lewis was another key player, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4.
Boulder City kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They are 8-3 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask The Meadows School). They never let Chaparral get on the board and left with a 19-0 victory on Thursday. The Mustangs haven't had any issues with the Cowboys recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.
Keegan Sabelko looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. He also tossed a walk, which is notable because The Meadows School is undefeated when he allows at most one walk, but 7-9 otherwise.
At the plate, Aiden Brown was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI. He has become a key player for The Meadows School: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 8-9 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Carson Rinetti, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.
Boulder City's record now sits at 11-9. As for The Meadows School, their record is now an identical 11-9.
Friday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Boulder City has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .445. However, it's not like The Meadows School struggles in that department as they've averaged .455. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Boulder City might still be hurting after the 14-4 defeat they got from The Meadows School in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Can the Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
