Basketball Recap: Eufaula Comes Up Short

Eufaula lost against Keys on January 8th and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Eufaula Ironheads lost to the Keys Cougars at home by a 49-30 margin. While losing is never fun, the Ironheads can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 252nd, while the Cougars are ranked 29th).

Eufaula has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season. As for Keys, the victory was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-2.

Eufaula has already played their next match, a 51-30 loss against Muldrow on the 25th. As for Keys, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 56-26 defeat against Locust Grove on the 25th.
