Football Game Preview: Solanco vs. Cocalico

If the MaxPreps state rankings hold true, the near future looks bright for Cocalico. They will look to defend their home turf on Friday against Solanco at 7:00 PM. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams put up some lofty point totals in their previous games, so things might heat up even more when they meet up.

Cocalico took their contest against Garden Spot last Friday by a conclusive 55-21 score. No one put up better numbers for Cocalico than junior Noah Palm, who brought his A game into the match. He rushed for 126 yards and 4 touchdowns. Palm has now scored at least one touchdown in the past eight games.

Meanwhile, Solanco put the finishing touches on their 5th blowout victory of the season. They were the clear victor by a 48-27 margin over Lampeter-Strasburg. With Solanco ahead 34-7 at the half, the match was all but over already.

Cocalico took the matchup and then some with a 63-28 victory over Solanco the last time the two teams met. Since neither squad is a stranger to landslide victories this season, you'd better bet it will be hard-fought showdown.
