It's playoff time, and Montello had no trouble coming through when it counted. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Wabeno/Laona Rebels on Saturday, sneaking past 3-2. The victory was familiar territory for the Hilltoppers, who have now won five matches in a row.

Rylan Harder was a one-woman wrecking crew as she had 19 digs and two aces. Those 19 digs gave her a new career-high.

Wabeno/Laona's loss came despite strong showings from Reese Connor and Aubrey Tinsman. Connor had 28 assists and ten digs, while Tinsman had 20 assists and eight digs. Connor has been hot, having posted 14 or more assists the last seven times she's played.

Montello's win bumped their record up to 35-6. As for Wabeno/Laona, they moved to 30-11 with that defeat, which also ended their six-match winning streak.

Coming up, Montello will square off against Heritage Christian on Thursday. Wabeno/Laona does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
