Baseball Recap: Covenant School of Jacksonville Triumphs

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Covenant School of Jacksonville had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They won by a run and slipped past Eagle's View 1-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 5-1 back in March.

Randy Parker made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out ten over seven innings pitched. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Covenant School of Jacksonville is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-11 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.5 runs on average over those games. As for Eagle's View, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-15 record this season.

As of now, neither Covenant School of Jacksonville nor Eagle's View have any future games scheduled.
