            Baseball Recap: Lebanon Warriors vs. Corvallis Spartans        
        
		
        
        
            Lebanon extended their losing streak  to three  on Monday, dropping their season record down to 7-6 in the process. They fell  6-1 to the Corvallis Spartans. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since April 24, 2019, but that streak is no more.
 Lebanon saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Zane Cox, who  went 1-for-3 with one  double and one  RBI.
As for Corvallis, the  victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 10-4. Those  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 10.6 runs over those games.
On Corvallis' side,  Roy Bannister made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he  struck out six batters over  seven innings while giving up just one earned run off   four  hits. Bannister was also solid in the batter's box,  going 2-for-5 with one  run and one  RBI.
 In other batting news,  Axel Prechel was  excellent,  getting on base  in three of his five plate appearances with one  triple and one  stolen base. He has been hot recently, having  posted  at least one  stolen base the last three times he's  played.  Ben Weiss was another key player,  getting on base  in two of his five plate appearances with three  stolen bases and two  RBI.
While Lebanon had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled  at 5:00  p.m.  on Wednesday.
