Volleyball Recap: Stevens Point's Victory on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Stevens Point came tearing into Saturday's contest with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Wausau West Warriors. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-1 back in September.

Stevens Point had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-20, 25-12, 25-11.

Leading Stevens Point to victory were Annabell Ebel and Katie Kornowski. Ebel had 20 digs and three aces, while Kornowski had 13 digs and two aces. Kornowski is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 13 or more in each of the last 72 games she's played dating back to last season.

They weren't the only good servers: Stevens Point was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in three consecutive matches.

Stevens Point's victory bumped their record up to 27-7. As for Wausau West, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-13 record this season.
